This week was all about molecules and matals and non-metals and atomic structure and electron arrangement.

This week was about reversible chemical changes and reactions, with a particular focus on the dehdration of hydrated coppersulphate and cobalt(II)chloride, and ending off with a chemical test for water.

We started the week out learning about crude oil and a basic introduction to organic chemistry, followed by a discussion of intermolecular forces and the complete distillation of crude oil, and ending with physical and chemical changes.

We learned how to separate a liquid from a soluble solid, mixtures of gases, and the principles of fractional distillation

This week was dedicated to finding out the difference between various mixtures in liquids, including solutions, colloids suspensions and the difference between suspensions and precipitates.

We started off this year by finishing off our section on separating and purifying mixtures.

This very short week, we only had a chance to look at proton numbers and mass numbers and what they tell us about elements, as well as isotopes.

This week we finished off separating techniques with a final look at how to separate two immiscible liquids, followed by the start of a new section on atomic structure

This week we concentrated on Fractional Distillation as a separating technique for alcohol and water, crude oil and atmospheric gasses.
