Narrative essay writing 30th November – 3rd December

In English this week we honed our narrative essay writing skills using Freytag’s Pyramid:

1.  Firstly we focused on how to write a hook sentence and an introduction that would capture the reader’s attention, introduce atmosphere and establish character
2. Secondly, we focused on techniques to create interesting character(s) in our narrative
3. Thirdly, we wrote short narrative paragraphs in response to images – our objective was to show the reader what was unfolding in the image using concrete descriptions
