-Spelling –Dolch Words – List 6
-Instructions – The children were TV presenters and demonstrated how to create a ‘scratch drawing’ picture.They had to record their video on Flipgrid. The presentation had to include:
– what you will need, step by step instructions on how to make the drawing. They had to remember to use:The present tense, bossy words and time conjunctions such as ‘First’, ‘Second’, ‘After that’, ‘Next’, ‘Finally
-Handwriting Without Tears – Letter ‘f’
-New Wave Spelling book pgs 50-51, Unit 13
-Phonics and Spelling – We read and wrote words with end with /ur/ such as ‘hurt’.

Activities
– 2D and 3D shapes -We identified their properties in terms of number of faces, edges and corners (vertices).We sorted the shapes using a Carroll diagram with headings ‘curved faces’ and ‘not curved faces’ as well as other properties.
–What is meant by the words ‘symmetry’ and ‘symmetrical’. We explored the lines of symmetry in 2D shapes and had fun completing symmetrical patterns.
-‘Timed test’ – differentiated test. The children had to find the answer to the addition sentences within a time limit of 5 minutes

EXIT POINT PREPARATION

-Each student will participate in something that they want to share for the Exit Point. We went through the following activities and reviewed how we will present our knowledge and understanding at the Online Exit Point Presentation
– What is light? Identify sources of light
– Gallery show of their artwork they did in Ms Shovi’s class. One child to explain the technique and the materials used
– To explain how the spin of the Earth leads to day and night
– Music Task , Two groups to share their song.
-How do we get shadows?
-Shadow puppet story
– Light and dark story
– Jane’s shadow puppet theatre

-Shared reading time. Reading and comprehension using ‘The Park’ Short vowel word families and ‘Ben’s puppy’ – Reading comprehension and fluency passages
