Instagram sekolah
SES Instagram celebrates the sporting, cultural, social and charitable activities of our school community. Providing our students with opportunities for fitness, sport, artistic expression as well as a supportive social environment is a very important part of their development. We appreciate the extensive efforts of our teachers and parents in providing a well rounded experience. Images from our instagram feed are provided below, there is a button on the bottom of our page if you would like to start following SES on instagram.
What a spectacular splash of colour! 🎨✨
We kicked off the 6th of March by turning our school into a beautiful canvas of colours for the SES Holi Celebration. A massive thank you to our incredible SES parents who beautifully organised this marvellous event. From the first throw of powder to the endless laughter, it was a day of pure joy and community connection.
Did you manage to dodge the powder, or were you covered head-to-toe in colours? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Discovering true potential with the DoE Award 🌟
How do we help teenagers build the resilience they need for the real world?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DoE) is one of the best ways to answer that question. Rather than sitting behind a desk, the programme encourages students to step out into the world and take ownership of their own development. Through volunteering, physical recreation, skill-building, and an adventurous group expedition, they learn how to navigate real-world challenges.
It is incredible to witness the transformation as they learn to manage their time, support their peers, and overcome obstacles. They walk away from the experience not just with an award, but with a profound sense of independence and self-belief.

Turning an Egg into a Bouncy Ball? Science makes it possible! 🥚➡️🏀
To put theory into practice, we conducted the famous ‘Bouncy Egg’ experiment. By submerging a raw egg in vinegar, students observed a fantastic chemical reaction. The acetic acid reacts with the calcium carbonate in the eggshell, producing carbon dioxide bubbles and eventually dissolving the shell completely.
What remains is the egg’s delicate membrane, turning it into a rubbery, bouncy object! It is a brilliant, hands-on way to understand how chemical reactions can alter physical properties. Great observations, young scientists! 👩🔬👨🔬
