Our students had a brilliant time engaging in a fantastic ‘garden-to-table’ experience right here at school. After exploring our garden and identifying the fresh produce, they watched keenly as our teacher demonstrated how to prepare some delicious treats.
On the menu was a savoury vegetable bake with ricotta and parmesan, alongside a refreshing green smoothie made with freshly cut greens and coconut water. It was a splendid opportunity for the students to see how ingredients they’ve just seen growing can be turned into a yummy meal.
This hands-on lesson beautifully illustrated the journey of our food from the soil to the plate. What a flavourful and educational day for everyone involved!
