By carefully cutting out squares, rectangles, circles, and triangles, the children are not only learning to identify different geometric shapes and their properties, but they are also developing their essential fine motor skills.
Hands-on activities like this require fantastic concentration and make learning both engaging and memorable. Well done to our brilliant young shape explorers! 👏

Bringing Vocabulary to Life! 🗣📖
After building a fantastic vocabulary bank of nouns, verbs, and adjectives, our Year 2 students put their new words to the ultimate test!
In their English lesson, the students used their 1 and 2-syllable words to verbally construct sentences. They had to follow specific grammatical rules to figure out exactly what types of words were needed to fill in the missing parts of the sentences.
Practising verbal sentence structure is a brilliant way to build confidence before putting pen to paper. Excellent teamwork and communication, Year 2! 💡
