Visiting the Al Akbar Mosque, the largest mosque in Surabaya, was truly impressive, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Immersing ourselves in the teachings of the tausiyah about Ramadan deepened our spiritual connection, complemented by the serene ambiance of the mosque.
Sharing iftar at both the Al Akbar Mosque and Roudlatul Jannah was a meaningful experience as well, allowing us to connect with the community during this holy month.

This yearβs International Day was an absolute blast!
Each class chose a country as their theme, and witnessing everyone dressed up and performing in ways that reflected those nations was truly a sight to behold. And of course, we canβt overlook the delicious national foods that were prepared for everyone to enjoy!

We started our new IPC unit, Footprints From the Past, with a really fun Entry Point. We became palaeontologists and went on a dinosaur dig in our playground. We learned that palaeontologists are scientists that study fossils and past life on Earth. They use fossils to learn about dinosaurs from the past. Weβre so excited to learn more about dinosaurs!

On Saturday 20th January, the TFA senior boys played in an Under 18 7-a-side competition in Bali at the Finn`s Recreation Club and were unluckily knocked out in the semi-final on a penalty shootout. Our Under 15 boys went one stage further but they lost in their final having been undefeated in their earlier matches. However on Sunday, the combined team finished off with a 5-3 win (11-a-side) against the Bali Sports Academy. This team were older and more experienced than us but our boys skill and determination saw them run out convincing winners.
More importantly, the team were excellent ambassadors for SES and the TFA. Their behaviour and attitude was exemplary. They showed excellent team spirit and were respectful at all times. They won many admirers with their friendly nature, discipline and sportsmanship.
Well done to the SES players who travelled, Langit, Lintang, Griffin, Lewis, Victor, Aaron (U14 team) and Reynard, Dexter, Ryan (U18 team)
Thanks to Mr. Petros for his support over the weekend and all other staff members who helped in the preparation of this event.
