Our students at Surabaya European School had a brilliant time during an outdoor activity for The Paper Lantern Project. With excitement and creativity, the students worked together in the fresh air, designing and crafting their own colourful paper lanterns. This hands-on session not only encouraged artistic expression, but also built teamwork and communication skills. Set in a relaxed natural environment, the activity blended fun with meaningful learning. Projects like this spark imagination and show how learning can be both joyful and purposeful. We’re proud to support creative growth through the IPC curriculum.

Students tackers are deeply engrossed in a spot of lantern making, their bright eyes fixed on the task at hand. It’s a proper hands-on activity, encouraging them to get stuck in and exercise their creative muscles. What a cracking way to spend their time, fostering a sense of accomplishment and a bit of artistic flair. It’s a lovely example of learning through doing, and they’re clearly having a jolly good time bringing their lantern visions to life.
It’s rather heartwarming to see them working away so diligently, each contributing to their own little glowing masterpiece. This sort of activity is brilliant for developing their fine motor skills and problem-solving abilities, all while having a bit of fun to boot. They look absolutely thrilled with their handiwork in progress, and no doubt they’ll be beaming with pride once their lanterns are complete.
