The First Assembly

On Monday 27th August, the children, parents and staff of Surabaya European School gathered for the first whole school assembly of the year. The aim of the assembly was to reflect upon the fact that we all have the opportunity to change or start something new. Mr Paul used volunteers to focus the school’s attention on pictures connecting to ‘newness’. Using examples from the real world and school life, Mr Paul invited the children to pause and think about new challenges they would face as they embarked on a new school year. The new teaching staff, new student and new parents were also welcomed to the school.

After the assembly, Miss Shovi led an informative session to enable the parent body to gain access to the new school portal.  A big thank you to those who attended and learned about our new way of accessing learning here at Surabaya European School.
